Henry Ford Health System and
T-System Technologies, Ltd. have contracted to implement
T-SystemEV for computerized charting and patient tracking at three Detroit area Henry Ford Medical Center emergency departments.
Emergency physicians and nurses at Henry Ford Medical Center Fairlane, Henry Ford Medical Center Sterling Heights and Henry Ford Medical Center West Bloomfield will document electronically at the bedside starting in December. These three medical centers, which care for more than 100,000 patients annually, will operate
T-SystemEV from a single centralized group of servers, interfacing with the Care-Plus hospital information system.
"We wanted a system that would support the physicians and nurses in their interaction with the patient," said Maureen Anderson, M.D., Medical Director at Henry Ford Medical Center Fairlane. "We felt that
T-System had the most experience with that, and we were impressed by the number of clinical people they had working for them to assist us in meeting our goals."
