“Randy is an extraordinary addition to our team. He brings together a deep knowledge of healthcare and emergency medicine, as well as exemplary leadership expertise and a proven track record in making a difference in patient care, building companies, leading solutions and providing healthcare advisory services,” said Michael Hansen, President and CEO of T-System. “Randy’s broad range of experience and competency, coupled with his values as a clinician are a natural fit with our mission of making the best patient care a reality for everyone.”
Dr. Case joins T-System from IBM, where he served as National Leader of Clinical Transformation Services. He also brings a decade of experience as an entrepreneur in healthcare technology before that, plus 25 years as an emergency department physician leader, and 7 years of military medical service. In addition to his M.D. from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, Dr. Case holds a Masters of Software Engineering degree from Pennsylvania State University and an MBA degree from George Mason University, graduating Beta Gamma Sigma (the American Association of Collegiate Schools of Business scholastic honor society).
Throughout his career, Dr. Case has been an active contributor to a number of healthcare and emergency medical professional associations, including the American College of Emergency Physicians – where he is a Lifetime Fellow, Councilor, Quality and Performance committee member, and prior Chair of the Emergency Medicine Practice committee.
Dr. Case said “It is a dynamic and challenging time for healthcare and for emergency medicine! So, I am especially delighted to have this opportunity to serve the emergency medicine community, and beyond, with the leading clinical solutions company. In T-System, I found a values-driven company that is totally committed to designing and delivering the best solutions to our clients - solutions that facilitate the efficiency as well as the effectiveness of healthcare delivery.
